Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee all aspects of quality control for our brass components. This role involves developing and implementing QA policies, conducting thorough inspections, analyzing defects, and ensuring all products meet stringent industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and finished products.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality standards.
- Manage calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Train staff on quality control measures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and CAPA methodologies.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Experience in the metals or automotive components industry.
- Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and APQP processes.
